We are happy to announce that construction for the new Shalimar Beach Resort will begin early next year. After many months of planning and deliberation, we are proud to present our vision as rendered in the images below. The journey to get to them has not been an easy one. While our original goal was to rebuild everything as it was before, we learned that over one-third of our property was deemed unbuildable as a result of new city and state regulations. Working with one of the most celebrated architects in the state of Florida, we are excited to introduce our final plan of ten one-bedroom cottages, two two-bedroom cottages, twenty-one hotel rooms with a rooftop deck, and a beach-facing pool with hot tub. With a new higher elevation, each accommodation will take advantage of spectacular views of the Gulf and sunset. Keeping a similar aesthetic style to the one that came before and lush landscaping, the new Shalimar will be a balanced blend of old Florida charm and elevated modernity. While only an image now, Shalimar Beach Resort will truly come to life when it welcomes back our dearly missed guests. We can’t wait to see our dream turn to reality and look forward to the years of progress ahead.
